Churros!



Thamel as always has been one of the most popular places in Kathmandu Valley. It is a hot spot for locals as well as people who come here .There's always something to explore in Thamel, Even as native of Kathmandu,i have not fully explored Thamel.There's always a new place or a new club or even a new guest house each time you go. Yes, this place it truly fascinating, and yes, I got to know about this place by exploring too.







A few days ago, as I was passing by a small alley in Thamel , I found a shop called "Shavi's Fries", it had the words "fries" so I obviously went in . I'd initially gone for fries, but I found something else there as well. It's new name struck me the most as we usually don't get them in Nepal ,and that, my friends, is how i was introduced to churros.





Churros! Isn't that a fun name? It tastes about as fun as it sounds too. This tasty bite is basically made up of fried dough pastry and it's normally eaten for breakfast dipped in chocolate sauce or any other preferred sauces. The place that I went to served it with dark and white chocolate.

For me, this was the perfect snack as I have a sweet tooth and also because I'm a huge sucker for dark chocolate.I , being a fan of dark chocolate ,preferred the dark chocolate dip to go with my churros. If you're anything like me (sweet tooth committee , I'm looking at you),you're sure to love it!

If you're a Nepalese and not had any single street food till the day, are you really Nepalese? I am a big street food enthusiastic, I would be ready in any given time of day to embark on the glorious sausages, mushrooms, syabhaley and other delicacies that you get. These are my personal favorites- 1.Egg roll in Boudha I don’t think that many people know of this hidden gem. It lies in the alleyway of AT Burger near Boudha Stupa. They have this small stall which only opens in the evening and certainly serves the best egg roll you could find. Let's face it, we all have those days when we're penniless. I don't know about you guys, but if I look at my situation I'm broke almost 50% of the time, and tbh that's because I spend most of my money on food.
